Ana Mihajlović
Associate / Litigator / Collaborative Divorce Lawyer

Ana received her Bachelor of Arts (With Distinction) in Psychology from Simon Fraser University in 2013 and her Juris Doctor from the University of British Columbia in 2016. She was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2018 and joined Daykin Walker Kaderly Wahid as an associate shortly thereafter.
Ana is well-versed in family violence, attachment theory, and relational dynamics. She is regularly involved in family law matters involving complex financial structures, and complex family and parenting dynamics. Ana has appeared at all levels of court in British Columbia and regularly assists senior counsel on various litigation matters.
On her own files, Ana takes a settlement-based approach, frequently negotiating, drafting, and advising on all types of family law agreements. She believes the separation process can be done in a respectful and dignified way, and she empowers clients to move towards sensible, sustainable solutions. Ana is a certified Collaborative Law practitioner and can resolve cases using the Collaborative approach which keeps clients out of court and in control of the process and outcome.
Ana is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, Collaborative Divorce Vancouver, and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. She was previously on the executive committee of the Canadian Bar Association’s Unbundled Legal Services and offers unbundled retainer options in her practice. She continues to work with Rise Women’s Legal Centre as a presenter and mentor, and she is an active alumna of the Women’s Caucus at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at UBC. In addition to English, Ana is fluent in Serbian, Croatian, and Bosnian.
